Curcumin is the active ingredient in the spice turmeric, providing powerful anti-inflammatory, anti-oxidant functions that are the basis for current clinical trials as an anti-cancer and anti-inflammatory disease modulator. MicroActive® Curcumin SR is a self-emulsifying system, forming micro-particles of curcumin making it water soluble and up to eight times more bioavailable than standard curcumin. Released separately in the stomach and then in the small intestines, the SR stands for sustained release allowing the body time for maximum absorption.
